Dr. Promita Chatterji
Director of Journals, Elsevier
As the Director of Journals for Digital Commons, Promita leads vision, strategy, and roadmap for Digital Commons journals. She works closely with global academic communities to understand emerging trends, inform product innovation, and build visibility and impact for open-access publishing.

At Digital Commons, she has led several initiatives on strategic topics including research data management, open educational resources, and the impact of open access. Promita holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and prior to joining Elsevier she taught literature and humanities at UC Berkeley and Columbia University.

Priyanka works as Software Solution Sales Manager at Elsevier. She brings with her 12+ years of experience liaising and working with research leaders across leading academic institutions and government organizations.
