About
The use of animals in drug safety assessments is not yet replaceable by computational methods and is required by regulatory bodies.  Control groups are part of the scientific method to assess drug safety. We are exploring the ability to provide better statistical power and reduce animal usage by using control group information selected from past studies to assess the control baseline.  Data from control groups selected from past studies with the same routes of administration, duration, species, and strain are being compared to normal control groups to evaluate their performance.
