About
Polymers are important components in scientific research, technology and industry. Chemists often need to quickly identify relevant natural and synthetic polymers and their base monomers. They are also interested in the literature that describes polymer preparation and uses. However, searching polymer information in databases may be challenging task. Polymers are described in many different ways in the literature and chemists often struggle how to select proper search terms and most efficient approach to get relevant polymer data.

In this webinar, we investigate polymer search strategies in the Reaxys reference chemistry database. We will discuss the following workflows: synthesis of polymers from a desired starting material; searching polymers based on the desired properties, by synthetic route and with specific end groups; and searching co-polymers and polymer networks.
