Dr. Patrick Louchouarn joined The Ohio State University on Aug. 1, 2022, as the senior vice provost for faculty. In this position, he leads the inaugural Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) at Ohio State. He and the OFA team are developing and expanding programming to support faculty experience and success, such as professional development, career advancement, support to faculty and units in hiring, promotion, mid-term reviews, and leadership development. He is also a professor at the School of Earth Sciences.

Vice Provost for Academic Policy and Faculty Resources
Dr. Helen I. Malone joined Ohio State’s faculty in 2005 and joined the Office of Academic Affairs as vice provost for academic policy and faculty resources on June 1, 2019, having previously served as associate chair of the Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education and Human Ecology. As vice provost, her primary responsibilities include supporting the faculty and the processes of academic human resources, including leading the planning and development of New Faculty Orientation, the New Chair Program, and other faculty development opportunities.
