Senior Product Manager, Elsevier
Zsófia Büttel is the Senior Product Manager of Funding Institutional. Before joining the FI Product team, she worked as Research Intelligence Consultant covering the Nordics & Benelux region, working closely with academic, governmental, and corporate customers, supporting them to inform strategic research planning, using Elsevier’s solutions. Before joining Elsevier, she worked as an academic in Molecular Biology for over seven years in three different countries. As an active member of the European scientific community, including her experience as an elected board member of the Marie Curie Alumni Association, she gained valuable insights into Research and Educational Policy. Zsófia is a real believer in diversity of knowledge, cross-disciplinary moves and supporting the research ecosystem with smart solutions.

Cristal Ponciano Sanchez, M.A.
Project Manager, Office of Research Development & Communications, Texas Tech University (TTU)
Cristal Ponciano Sanchez uses the pronouns she/her. She currently serves as Project Manager for the Texas Tech Office of Research Development & Communications (ORDC). In this role, she assists with large, multi-disciplinary grant proposals from inception to submission. She also supports research staff and faculty in identifying future and current funding opportunities that align with their research interests and institutional strengths. She also coordinates and leads grant writing workshops like “Why Wait for the RFP?” and “Research Career MAP (Make a Plan)” as well as 8 to 10-week research-centered writing groups each semeseter. She is a tenacious team leader with a passion for creating inclusive and collaborative safe spaces with an innovative drive. Her experience extends to providing day to day coordination of centralized administrative communication, technical proposal guidance and finalizing applications according to agency policies and procedures.

Holly Falk-Krzesinski (Webinar Moderator)

Holly Falk-Krzesinski, PhD, is the Vice President, Research Intelligence in the Global Strategic Networks team. Her responsibilities center on how insights from data, metrics, and analytics guide strategic planning for the research enterprise by research institutions and funders globally. Previously, Dr. Falk-Krzesinski was a faculty administrator at Northwestern University where she integrated the use of various tools to support scientific collaboration and demonstrate the impact of the university’s research programs.
