President, Eindhoven University of Technology
Robert-Jan Smits is President of the Executive Board of Eindhoven University of Technology and a founder of the 4th Generation University Community. Prior to this, he served as a Director-General of Research and Innovation at the European Commission. He believes that universities must seek a stronger connection with and relevance to society and its challenges.
Tim Bedford
Associate Principal, University of Strathclyde
Professor Tim Bedford leads the Research and Innovation portfolio within the university, with a particular focus on the Innovation aspects. He is also Professor of Decision and Risk Analysis. Collaboration with external partners is a major theme for both of his roles
