Cesar Wazen
Director of International Affairs Office at Qatar University
César Wazen’s interests in rankings, academic accreditation and student assessment are backed by extensive experience teaching mathematics and statistics as well as in whole-school accreditation. He holds a BSc in mathematics, a teaching diploma and a master’s in educational administration and policy studies, all from the American University of Beirut and currently pursuing doctoral studies in European and International Studies.

Angela McGuire
Senior Product Manager, Research Evaluation
Angela McGuire is Senior Product Manager – Research Evaluation and Associate of Elsevier’s International Center for the Study of Research responsible for driving projects centered around driving insights and methods around societal impact and planning. She works with higher education institutions to facilitate development of tools and methods with a view to achieve better outcomes for the research evaluation community. Angela has come to Elsevier after 20 years in the higher education sector including her PhD at Flinders University and most recently her role in research evaluation at the University of Tasmania. Angela’s interests lie in developing new ways to measure and demonstrate the societal impact of research and evaluating fair and equitable ways of assessing academic performance. She loves to see insights turn into action, is always open to hearing new perspectives and is keen to collaborate to find innovative solutions to tackle the problems of our future.

Elena Zudilova-Seinstra
Senior Product Manager, Scopus
Elena Zudilova-Seinstra is a Senior Product Manager for Scopus at Elsevier. In her current role, she is responsible for the literature assessment user journey. She joined the Scopus Product Team in early 2022. In her previous roles at Elsevier, she was managing Data Monitor and Research Elements Program. Before joining Elsevier, Elena worked at the University of Amsterdam, SARA Computing and Networking Services and Corning Inc. Elena holds a MSc degree in Technical Engineering and a PhD degree in Computer Science. She co-authored more than 60 research articles and book chapters.

Chris James
Senior Product Manager, SciVal
Chris is Senior Product Manager for SciVal, part of the team responsible for the design and development of new features to help their global customer base meet their research strategy challenges. He was responsible for the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in SciVal and is currently working with his customers to deliver new data and metrics, to help provide evidence of societal impact.
