Ernest Law
Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research
Ernest is a Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research on the Global Immunology & Inflammation, Patient & Health Impact team at Pfizer. His research interests include health preferences, patient-reported outcomes, patient-centered and comparative effectiveness research, and shared decision-making. Ernest is involved in conducting early- and late-phase clinical trials, real-world/observational studies, and economic evaluations. He is currently focusing on autoimmune diseases, though his previous role at Pfizer was in breast cancer research and he has presented work in several scientific journals and national and international conferences, including ASCO, ESMO-BC, ESMO, SABCS, ISOQOL, SMDM, and ISPOR. Ernest holds a B.Sc.(Pharm) from the University of Alberta, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of British Columbia, and obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacy (focus Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a pharmacy practice residency with Alberta Health Services in Canada and a post-doctoral research fellowship with the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ernest is currently based out of the Pfizer Headquarters in New York City.

Bamini Jayabalasingham
Head of Research Analytics, NOAM
Dr. Bamini Jayabalasingham is a Ph.D trained researcher with experience conducting evaluations to support evidence based policy and program changes at the federal and municipal level. She is experienced at managing teams to coordinate program evaluations, policy implementation, strategic planning, and data analyses to assess underlying factors (e.g. socioeconomic, infectious disease, funding policies) contributing to health and economic outcomes.
As Head of Research Analytics, NoAm with Elsevier’s Research Analytics Team, she manages a team that develops analytical products using bibliometric data to support the strategic planning needs of clients in academia and government. Projects she has worked on include Cancer Research Current Trends and Future Directions and The researcher journey through a gender lens.
Prior to joining Elsevier she served as a AAAS fellow at the Office of Research on Women’s Health, US National Institutes of Health, and as a CIHR Science Policy fellow at the Public Health Agency of Canada. She earned her PhD in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has co-authored publications in a diverse range of research areas spanning from molecular biology to bibliometrics.

Jey Balachandran
Chief Technology Officer
Jey is responsible for leading the continued development and scaling of all aspects of Doximity’s digital platform. Jey has been with Doximity for over a decade and has extensive experience as both a leader and an engineer in building the company’s core technologies and cloud services. Prior to joining Doximity, Jey spent several years as an interactive developer at Sapient, and he began his career with an appointment to Environment Canada, where he worked as a software engineer for the Canadian administration responsible for the government’s response to the climate change crisis. He received his H.B.Sc. in computer science from the University of Toronto in Canada.
