Jan Erik Timmermann, MD, is a board certified neurologist and global medical affairs leader with a strong background in clinical neurology, neuroscience research, and pharmaceutical medical strategy. He currently serves as Global Medical Lead for CNS and Women’s Health at Orion Corporation, where he drives medical strategy, supports evidence generation, and provides scientific leadership across international teams.
With more than a decade at University Medical Center HamburgEppendorf, Dr. Timmermann completed his neurology residency alongside extensive postdoctoral research focusing on stroke, motor learning, neurorehabilitation, and non-invasive brain stimulation. He earned his medical degree from the University of Hamburg and completed his doctoral research in experimental neurophysiology and neuroimaging. His academic work has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications in the field of movement control and motor skill acquisition.
