Dr. Raghu Raman is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of experience spanning industry and higher education. He currently serves as Dean of the Amaravati Campus and Dean of the School of Business at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, overseeing campuses in Amritapuri, Amaravati, and Kochi. He is also the Director of the Center for Accreditations, Rankings, and Eminence (IQAC-NAAC) and the founding Director of the Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (CREATE).
Dr. Raghu Raman has played a key role in advancing research, accreditation, and data-driven institutional strategy at Amrita University. He has secured over $5 million in research funding and authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in areas related to analytics, education technologies, and institutional performance. His academic credentials include an MBA from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Management from Amrita School of Business, an MCA from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from University of Delhi, where he received the President of India Gold Medal.
A recognized thought leader in higher education analytics and sustainability, Dr. Raman regularly speaks at global forums such as the QS EduData Summit and the United Nations Higher Education Sustainability Initiative.
