Abir Raslan is a highly motivated higher education professional with over 27 years of international experience, distinguished for delivering outstanding support to executive leadership and championing faculty affairs excellence. She currently serves as the Associate Director for Faculty Affairs at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), where she leads initiatives in faculty hiring, promotion, annual reviews, recognition, and compliance with institutional policies.
Her career at TAMUQ spans nearly two decades, during which she has held progressive leadership roles—including Assistant Director and Manager of Faculty Services—making significant contributions to strategic academic planning, policy development, and faculty data systems. Her critical thinking, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail have earned her numerous accolades, including the Dean’s Achievement Award for Outstanding Service, STAR Award (for Service, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility) and multiple service recognition honors from TAMUQ.
