Owen is the Data Science Strategy Lead within JM Catalyst Technologies R&D and focuses on how R&D lab scientists can be enabled to get more value from their data.
Owen has a background in Physics with a BSc from Durham and a Masters in Data Science from Newcastle University. Owen joined Johnson Matthey in 2014 working on developing new nucleonic instrumentation and since then has moved into Business Intelligence, Data Engineering and Data Science roles. In his current role as Data Science Strategy Lead for Catalyst Technologies R&D in Johnson Matthey, Owen helps the large community of R&D lab scientists get the most out of their data to accelerate the materials discovery process
